Everything you need for a relaxed first meetup

Quick answers to common questions, so you can arrive curious and comfortable.

Are beginners welcome if I have never used a telescope?

Yes—newcomers are always welcome. We explain what we are viewing and pair first-time attendees with experienced members.

What should I bring to an observation session?

Dress for cooler night air and bring water. A red-light flashlight, notebook, or binoculars are useful, but optional.

What happens if weather conditions change?

If clouds or wind make viewing difficult, we post updates on the meetup page and shift to a short indoor or rescheduled session when possible.

Does attending a meetup cost anything?

No. Our public sessions are free to attend, and any optional donations simply help cover shared club supplies.

How should I behave during observing time?

Keep white lights off, speak softly near telescopes, and follow host guidance in the viewing line so everyone gets a clear, calm experience.
